Compared to nccad7.x the difference in handling is enormous; the OK-button is at the wrong place.
For a long time we had a OK-button in the Technology window, but it was not appropriate for the most common way of working: Normally
you draw the geometries. No need of OK, because the element is automatically stored in the tree when you start drawing a new element. Just with the last element you have to confirm by OK. You get a message when you forget it.
Then you may sort the drawing elements in the tree according to order or type of machining.
Assign the machining parameters, the technology, differenciating between group technology and individual technology. For better understanding please have a look in VideoClips/nccad9/Basics
